Morgen gebed

Vanochtend mocht R haar "morning prayer" door de megafoon - sorry, via de microfoon verbonden met geluidsboxen in elk klaslokaal - voorlezen voor de hele school. De avond ervoor was ze stikzenuwachtig, en oefende met de vork in de hand als microfoon. Ze had het gebed zelf gemaakt, en het ging ongeveer zo:

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit

Dear God,

Thank you for my school so I can learn how to read.

(...)

Thank you for the ground so we can walk.

Thank you for the cars so that we can go to far away places.
